SCTH offers both game estate and free range hunting on our privately owned ranch near beautiful Kaikoura. We
suggest that you bring a flat shooting rifle no smaller than a .270 caliber. Most shots are less than 150 yards,
but they may be as far as 300 yards. A box of ammunition (20 rounds) should be plenty for your hunt, but it’s
best to bring two boxes just in case you decide to add trophies.
SCTH provides hunts on foot, in four-wheel drive vehicles, and/or by helicopter. New Zealand terrain is steep,
so you’ll enjoy your hunt more if you’re in good shape. But don’t worry. We guarantee an opportunity for trophy
game to ALL clients. As we said, SCTH will customize hunts to meet our clients’ needs.
